JOB DESCRIPTION:  We are seeking a Parts Delivery employee to perform delivery assignments to our customers and stores while maintaining established company and industry standards.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Process orders for the Parts Department in a safe and efficient manner. 
  • Load the delivery vehicle, making sure the paperwork matches the items loaded. 
  • Responsible for ensuring items loaded for delivery match the customers’ invoices. (When unloading the delivery truck, tag the returns with the customer name, date, and reason for return and load into vehicle). 
  • Prepare return documents and copy the customer on the write-ups. 
  • Operate forklift and standard transmission vehicles. Inform your manager of repairs.
  • Complete safety and lifting training as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-60 pounds consistently; occasionally up to 75-100 pounds. 
  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion with strength, stamina, and control are required.  
  • Use of warehouse and forklift equipment required. (Forklift certification will be provided prior to forklift usage). Forklift experience is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  We are seeking a parts warehouse employee to perform work assignments while maintaining established company and industry standards.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Receive and sign each incoming shipment, checking for damage, correct package count, and shipping charge status, identifying collect verses prepaid.
  • Process incoming orders within 24 hours in the order received. Check off parts on the purchase order and packing list to make sure all parts received.  Check to ensure there is no concealed damage; ensure that all kits received have correct parts inside. Distribute incoming parts as required to place in stock for the shop or front counter or outside for the route.  Parts for stock must be part numbered, put away and their bin location recorded on the packing list.  Post (basic data entry) packing list receipt and location changes into our operating system.
  • Maintain a current inventory list of all items stored in each storage trailer.  Keep warehouse, shipping and receiving area, rail racks, storage trailers, and upstairs neat, clean and organized. Maintain shipping supplies, forms from shippers and current freight rates from shippers. 
  • Pull, package, and bill the orders for the weekly shuttle.  Load and unload the shuttle truck, keeping track of the baskets, paperwork, and company mail.  Check in/put away shuttle orders.
  • Process outgoing shipments; pull, package and bill the orders making sure that the paperwork matches the items shipped.
  • Maintain dirty core inventory, returning dirty cores in an expedient manner, maintain/update the dirty core list.
  • Maintain warranty tracking; file warranty claims with vendors; return parts for warranty consideration in an expedient manner; ensure customers’ claims are processed immediately.

JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Service Manager you’ll be on the front line of our business seeing all sorts of repairs. Plan, direct, motivate and manage activities of the Service Department to meet or exceed sales goals. Identify and train subordinates and manage daily operations. Meet with vendors and service providers as required. Meet or exceed established sales, profit, and growth objectives for the Service Department. Acquire and retain customers by implementing sales and marketing programs and fulfill the Company’s commitment to delivering outstanding service to all customers. Schedule repair work to meet or exceed industry standards by implementing innovative and cost/effective service products and repair procedures. Eliminate work-related injuries by following approved repair procedures and safety standards. This is a Monday through Friday position, hours 7:30 AM to 5 PM.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Ensure Company policies are followed with regards to recruiting, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure governmental requirements and documentation are followed with regard to work procedures, training, and record-keeping on hazardous materials and safety programs
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Utility Manufacturing concerning warranty procedures and documentation
  • Ensure service work is reimbursed promptly
  • Attend Service Manager meetings and Training Seminars as required

  • Associate’s Degree or 3 years in Management/Service of Heavy Duty Parts Operations for the Semi-Trailer or Truck industry

Primary Functions:

As a Trailer Sales Associate at our St. Augusta, MN Store, your mission is to develop and execute short and long-term sales and marketing strategies required for sustainable growth with the expected outcomes of increasing market share, improving brand awareness, and increase revenues and profits. 

Specific Functions:

  • Overall responsibility for the sale of new and used trailers to existing & prospective customers in your primary area
  • Responsible for the development of trailer sales business  that will continue company growth
  • Works closely with the executive team to build a customer base and grow business volume and profitability
  • Develops close working relationships with Parts and Service Department to ensure a continual stream of communication within the leadership team to understand the overall business dynamics

Route Sales

Primary Functions:

  • Call on route customers on a regular and punctual basis, promoting North Central Utility and employees to all customers, building a profitable and efficient route.
  • Help expand and grow North Central Utility’s customer base; conduct a minimum of three (3) cold calls per month, work trade shows, and attend open house activities and product seminars.
  • Process sales’ paperwork including orders, warranties, and returns daily/weekly. 
  • Follow up on all quotes, special orders, backorders, warranties, appointments, and other sales processes weekly.
  • Maintain and update customer profiles and profit codes.
  • Update route list monthly.
  • Keep route shelves neat and organized as well as keeping the desk area neat and organized.
  • Help produce “Special” sheets.
  • Keep assigned route vehicle clean and maintained.
  • Assist in loading the route vehicle; pull parts and complete other tasks as needed.

Education:

  • Minimum of a High School Degree
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the heavy-duty trailer and/or truck parts industry strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 year’s sales experience in the trailer/truck industry strongly preferred.
  • Seat belt and driving safety compliance required; forklift experience/certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds occasionally; a minimum of 60 pounds intermittently and 30 pounds consistently. 
  • Frequent standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting and repetitive motion requiring strength, stamina, and control required.

Knowledge:

JOB DESCRIPTION:  We are seeking a parts warehouse employee to perform work assignments while maintaining established company and industry standards.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Receive and sign each incoming shipment, checking for damage, correct package count, and shipping charge status, identifying collect versus prepaid.
  • Process incoming orders within 24 hours of the order received. Check off parts on the purchase order and packing list to make sure all parts received.  Check to ensure there is no concealed damage; ensure that all kits received have correct parts inside. Distribute incoming parts as required to place in stock for the shop or front counter or outside for the route.  Parts for stock must be part numbered, put away and their bin location recorded on the packing list.  Post (basic data entry) packing list receipt and location changes into our operating system.
  • Maintain a current inventory list of all items stored in each storage trailer.  Keep warehouse, shipping, and receiving area, rail racks, storage trailers, and upstairs neat, clean, and organized. Maintain shipping supplies, forms from shippers, and current freight rates from shippers. 
  • Pull, package, and bill the orders for the weekly shuttle.  Load and unload the shuttle truck, keeping track of the baskets, paperwork, and company mail.  Check-in/put away shuttle orders.
  • Process outgoing shipments; pull, package and bill the orders making sure that the paperwork matches the items shipped.
  • Maintain dirty core inventory, returning dirty cores in an expedient manner, maintain/update the dirty core list.
  • Maintain warranty tracking; file warranty claims with vendors; return parts for warranty consideration in an expedient manner; ensure customers’ claims are processed immediately.
  • Operate forklift and standard transmission vehicles.  Inform your manager of repairs needed.
  • Process orders for the Parts Department in a safe and efficient manner.  Load the delivery vehicle, making sure that the paperwork matches the items loaded.
  • Ensure items loaded for delivery match the customers’ invoices. All returns are processed in an expedient manner.  Tag the returns with the customer name, date, and reason for return and load into the vehicle.  Prepare return document and copy the customer.
  • Obtain a receipt or a packing list for returns; when an order is returned without paperwork, immediately prepare a summary/packing list regarding these items.
  • Assist customers in identifying parts’ needs; accurately pull and invoice orders; answer telephones and greet customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-60 pounds consistently; occasionally up to 75-100 pounds.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Videography part-time, full-time, or Internship to develop videos and related media to support NCU sales, branding, service utilization, internal training, and web and social media presence. Creating media content that is specific to our industry. Shoot and edit video for YouTube, Facebook our company intranet, and other media channels. You’ll gain skills in video content, editing, marketing strategy and analysis, social media deployment, as well as employee recruitment.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Produce a variety of videos including promotional pieces for social media, storytelling and testimonial videos, training curriculum, and fun and energetic videos for advertising.
