As an HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for administering benefits, compliance, employee relations, worker’s compensation, leaves of absence, Covid-19 response, onboarding, acquisitions, and payroll related functions as part of our management team.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Reports directly to company owner.
  • Collaborates with managers and staff at multiple store locations, providing consistent communication and compliance in all areas.

Parts Delivery

JOB DESCRIPTION:  We are seeking a Parts Delivery employee to perform delivery assignments to our customers and stores while maintaining established company and industry standards.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Process orders for the Parts Department in a safe and efficient manner. 
  • Load the delivery vehicle, making sure the paperwork matches the items loaded. 
  • Responsible for ensuring items loaded for delivery match the customers’ invoices. (When unloading the delivery truck, tag the returns with the customer name, date, and reason for return and load into vehicle). 
  • Prepare return documents and copy the customer on the write-ups. 
  • Operate forklift and standard transmission vehicles. Inform your manager of repairs.
  • Complete safety and lifting training as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-60 pounds consistently; occasionally up to 75-100 pounds. 
  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion with strength, stamina, and control are required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  We are seeking a parts warehouse employee to perform work assignments while maintaining established company and industry standards.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Receive and sign each incoming shipment, checking for damage, correct package count, and shipping charge status, identifying collect verses prepaid.
  • Process incoming orders within 24 hours of the order received. Check off parts on the purchase order and packing list to make sure all parts received.  Check to ensure there is no concealed damage; ensure that all kits received have correct parts inside. Distribute incoming parts as required to place in stock for the shop or front counter or outside for the route.  Parts for stock must be part numbered, put away and their bin location recorded on the packing list.  Post (basic data entry) packing list receipt and location changes into our operating system.
  • Maintain a current inventory list of all items stored in each storage trailer.  Keep warehouse, shipping, and receiving area, rail racks, storage trailers, and upstairs neat, clean, and organized. Maintain shipping supplies, forms from shippers, and current freight rates from shippers. 
  • Pull, package, and bill the orders for the weekly shuttle.  Load and unload the shuttle truck, keeping track of the baskets, paperwork, and company mail.  Check-in/put away shuttle orders.
  • Process outgoing shipments; pull, package and bill the orders making sure that the paperwork matches the items shipped.
  • Maintain dirty core inventory, returning dirty cores in an expedient manner, maintain/update the dirty core list.
  • Maintain warranty tracking; file warranty claims with vendors; return parts for warranty consideration in an expedient manner; ensure customers’ claims are processed immediately.

Job Description:

Bookkeeper/Receptionist at North Central Utility Inc., provide reception, clerical and basic accounting support to the Eau Claire and Wausau Stores, reporting directly to the Controller at the Madison/DeForest location.  The daily direction is provided by the Parts and Service Managers at the Store.

Primary Functions:

Accounts Payable Operations:

  • Enter accounts payable invoices into the computer system.
  • Pull invoices to be paid on a weekly basis.
  • File paid invoices.

Accounts Receivable Operations:

  • A complete daily deposits
  • Posting cash sales and sales on account into the computer system
  • Completing the deposit slip to take to the bank
  • Work with the parts and service managers to resolve any customer billing questions.
  • Process credit applications and check credit references for new credit applicants
  • Call on late-paying customers to clear any issues and report findings to Management.
  • Clear credit holds

General Accounting Operations:

  • Reconcile various reporting schedules
  • Reconcile the cash register on a daily basis
  • Collect & communicate hourly information for payroll purposes.
  • Enter sales tax exemptions on additions spreadsheet and file paper exemption forms

Receptionist Operations:

  • Responsible for managing 8 inbound phone lines along with the related paging and voice mail system.
  • Update voice mail system as needed.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies and maintaining office equipment as necessary.
  • Miscellaneous filing.

Requirements:

  • An Associate’s degree in accounting is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-location accounting, will be required as a substitute for a formal degree
  • Have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and possess excellent people skills.
  • Ability to work closely with other Accounting Clerks in multiple locations.
  • This is a highly visible position with the need to multitask at appropriate times.

JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Service Manager you’ll be on the front line of our business seeing all sorts of repairs. Plan, direct, motivate and manage activities of the Service Department to meet or exceed sales goals. Identify and train subordinates and manage daily operations. Meet with vendors and service providers as required. Meet or exceed established sales, profit, and growth objectives for the Service Department. Acquire and retain customers by implementing sales and marketing programs and fulfill the Company’s commitment to delivering outstanding service to all customers. Schedule repair work to meet or exceed industry standards by implementing innovative and cost/effective service products and repair procedures. Eliminate work-related injuries by following approved repair procedures and safety standards. This is a Monday through Friday position, hours 7:30 AM to 5 PM.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Ensure Company policies are followed with regards to recruiting, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure governmental requirements and documentation are followed with regard to work procedures, training, and record-keeping on hazardous materials and safety programs
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Utility Manufacturing concerning warranty procedures and documentation

  • Maintain verbal communication with Service Operation Manager regarding market conditions and other factors affecting the progress and profitability of the Service Dept.
  • Assist Service Operation Manager in developing and initiating customer appreciation events to include (business lunches, trade shows, gifts, customer outings)
  • Maintain strong communication and business relationship with Insurance Adjusters regarding existing and future insurance work
  • Co-ordinate with Parts and Sales Department on Special quotes
  • Keep abreast of how and what competition is doing or not doing. (i.e. competitive rates, wages, new services, and growth)
  • Ensure the shop, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and in good conditions
  • Ensure Mechanics’ tools are in safe and good condition

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s Degree or 3 years in Management/Service of Heavy Duty Parts Operations for the Semi-Trailer or Truck industry
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred 
  • Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees, and vendors
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Team leader
  • Excellent organizational skills
