Job Description

As a Service Manager you’ll be on the front line of our business seeing all sort of repairs. Plan, direct, motivate and manage activities of the Service Department to meet or exceed sales goals. Identify and train subordinates and manage daily operations. Meet with vendors and service providers as required. Meet or exceed established sales, profit and growth objective for the Service Department. Acquire and retain customers by implementing sales and marketing programs and fulfill the Company’s commitment to deliver outstanding service to all customers. Schedule repair work to meet or exceed industry standards by implementing innovative and cost/effective service products and repair procedures. Eliminate work related injuries by following approved repair procedures and safety standards. This is a Monday through Friday position, hours 7:30 AM to 5 PM.

Job Details:  

  • Ensure Company policies are followed with regards to recruiting, hiring, training and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure governmental requirements and documentation are followed with regard to work procedures, training and record keeping on hazardous materials and safety programs
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Utility Manufacturing concerning warranty procedures and documentation
  • Insure service work is reimbursed promptly
  • Attend Service Manager meetings and Training Seminars as required
  • Advise the Service Operation Manager of desired training for subordinates and self    
  • Make specific expense recommendations for tools and equipment
  • Review Company reports to ensure Service Department Sales and expenses are meeting or exceeding company standards
  • Review customer work status report quarterly and communicate status to Service Operations Manager
  • Formally review the performance of all service and direct subordinates once per year using company reports
  • Maintain verbal communication with Service Operation Manager regarding market conditions and other factors affecting the progress an profitability of the Service Dept.
  • Assist Service Operation Manager in developing and initiating customer appreciation events to include (business lunches, trade shows, gifts, customer outings)
  • Maintain strong communication and business relationship with Insurance Adjusters in regarding to existing and future insurance work
  • Co-ordinate with Parts and Sales Department on Special quotes
  • Keep abreast of how and what competition is doing or not doing. (i.e. competitive rates, wages, new services and growth)
  • Ensure the shop, equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and good conditions
  • Ensure Mechanics’ tools are in safe and good condition

 Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree or 3 years in Management/Service of Heavy Duty Parts Operations for the Semi-Trailer or Truck industry
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred 
  • Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills

As the Sales Coordinator at our Madison/Deforest Store, your daily task is to assist the trailer sales team members across 7 store locations with daily transactions and inventory management.  This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Sales Operations Manager.

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM   Monday thru Friday

JOB DETAILS:

  • Responsible for new and used sold trailer registrations and licensing in WI
  • Review trailer purchase order confirmations and change orders
  • Work with factory and transport companies to release completed trailers for transport
  • Invoicing New & Used Semi-Trailers
  • Calculate and document Federal Excise Tax for new trailers sold
  • Maintain files of new and used trailers
  • Use Excel to summarize and share sales data and customer prospects list with team members
  • Track incoming used trailers and add to company’s inventory management system
  • Learn inventory management system to become a knowledge resource for others

REQUIREMENTS:

Job Description

As a representative of our Parts Warehouse Department, perform a wide variety of work assignments maintaining established company and industry standards. Under the Parts Manager you will work effectively representing counter sales, trailer service, and the warehouse departments. You will ensure outstanding parts, counter, warehouse, delivery and shipping service consistently. This is a Part Time Position,  (Flexible) Part Time (Up to 25 Hours/Weekly).

1st Shift: Between the Hours of: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Job Details:

  • Assist shipping and receiving loading/unloading trucks & checking in merchandise and making local deliveries within a 50 mile radius. 
  • Complete data entry of heavy duty parts and equipment into the Parts Department computers
  • Oversee and demonstrate outstanding heavy duty parts service; respond to a high volume of heavy duty parts inventory tasks overseeing stocking warehouse and shelves, delivery to customers externally and internally; loading and unloading, shipping, packaging, labeling, meeting invoice orders, and discarding damaged parts
  • Utilize internal process working with packing slips, invoices, tags, and purchase orders
  • Oversee and ensure outstanding warehouse, delivery and shipping service consistently
  • Work effectively as a team member, communicate daily updates
  • Maintain Warehouse in clean, safe and organized standards. Keep warehouse,shipping and receiving areas, rail racks, storage trailers, and upstairs neat, clean and organized. 
  • Wear the proper safety equipment: safety glasses, gloves, for example.
  • Operate forklift and standard transmission vehicles.  Oversee maintenance of the delivery vehicle and forklift, upkeep of periodic maintenance to completion and inform management of needed repairs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid WI State Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required
  • Parts Warehouse and Delivery experience is preferred
  • Forklift certification will be provided ‘on-the-job’ prior to forklift usage
  • Ability to read, communicate and respond to internal procedures and documentation directly with customers and internal staff (e.g. at the counter, via telephone).
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of  75 pounds intermittently; a minimum of 50 pounds consistently
  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling and repetitive motion with strength, stamina and control is required
